UNBECOMING HER

“Unbecoming is freedom, it’s the act of shedding expectations, masks, and fear to step into your truest self.”

Katherine’s Approach

About Katherine Blackwell, LMFT

Therapist. Nervous system whisperer. Space-maker for your truth. Mirror-holder for your real self.

You’ve spent your life being the strong one. The successful one. The one who shows up.

You know how to overachieve and make it all look effortless, but underneath, there’s a quiet grief for the parts of you that never felt fully seen, heard, or chosen. The parts that learned to hold it together, to stay quiet, or disappear.

You’re not too much. You’re not broken. You’re human - and worthy of being fully seen, heard, and understood.

  • ith patterns that once kept you safe, but no longer serve you.

  • You are not too much. You are enough.

  • Real healing happens when we stop fixing and start listening.

If those words resonate, it may be time to listen more closely to what’s been asking for your attention.

My Approach

Healing that honors both your story and your nervous system.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. You are complex, layered, and deeply impacted by the experiences that shaped how you show up in the world, and in your own body.

The work I do is as much about energy and intuition as it is about neuroscience and the nervous system. It’s grounded in trauma-informed care, rooted in the body, and guided by deep presence. Your system already knows what it needs. I help you listen.

We’ll work together to uncover the protective strategies you’ve developed, like perfectionism, people-pleasing, chronic tension, emotional numbing, or overfunctioning. I’ll support you in learning how your body holds stress, what safety actually feels like, and how to gently shift patterns that no longer serve you.

My sessions are always attuned to your nervous system, your energy, and your readiness. Whether we’re processing pain, integrating an insight, or simply allowing space to feel—it all begins in the body.

I bring warmth, empathy, and intuition to our work together—paired with clear, grounded reflection to help you shift and grow.

What I Believe

  • Your body isn’t betraying you—it’s trying to protect you with patterns that once kept you safe, but no longer serve you.

  • You are not too much. You are enough.

  • Real healing happens when we stop fixing and start listening.

If those words resonate, it may be time to listen more closely to what’s been asking for your attention.
